Who am I?

Alison Fennell

Hello artist - I am 55 years old, from Wales, UK, a professional artist and fully qualified teacher (BSc. PGCE, Trinity Cert TESOL).

My mission is to facilitate your watercolour art awakening! I am a thorough and clear teacher who wants you to succeed.

Just recently I was awarded 41st position in the Top 75 rated watercolour tutors on Youtube by a Buzzfeed independent poll.

As well as being an art teacher at heart I also paint. The whimsical watercolour animals that you'll see in my shop on this site are reproduced individually by me using only Epson archival paper and ink and printer. Rest assured that your artwork will give you years of incredible colour vibrancy.

I paint in an authentic style hoping that my animals will stay with you forever. Whether for the nursery or home you will find fresh and natural watercolours in my shop.

Finally, I like to write about my art process in order to encourage others to follow their creative hunches. My indie, quarterly magazine The Pottering Artist is a warts and all creative journal with honest and in-depth tutorials on painting, drawing and mixed media projects. I also take you on visits to inspiring places, expose you to myriad materials and offer gorgeous giveaways. If you need permission to potter about in your art space this magazine will give it to you in spades.

See you inside - Alison
